Having the update issue with a new watch

I just purchased a new Apple Watch series 3 and when I started the pairing process it tells me to install The update. When I go to install the update I’m fully connected to wifi and it downloads and gets to the preparing stage and then only loads to a certain point. I have tried two different wifi connections in different locations. Also resetting my network settings millions of times. Manual pairing and the standard way. I cannot get any further than this point in the photo attached. I’ve followed all of the instructions please help!!!

Once the “preparing” phase completes, as the last paragraph in your screenshot states, your Apple Watch must be on its charger, charged to at least 50%, and in range of your iPhone connected to Wi-Fi.
