Ask to Buy in Family sharing

How do set my 18 year old son to "Ask to buy"? He shouldn't have unfettered access to my account because he's a supposed adult. He's 18, he's an idiot.

If he is already 18 and it isn't set up, I don't think your can turn on Ask to Buy.

It was setup as Ask to Buy but seemed to go away when he turned 18.

He shouldn't be able to buy anything he wants against my account.

That seems like a serious flaw.

But I don't want to stop Family Share as we have a Family Calendar we all access and share.
