My husband is on my apple ID. He uses his apple phone for business calls. We want to separate him and give him his own apple ID, without losing all his contacts and business information. Is this possible? His IT department tells him its not and he will lose everything if changes to his own apple id. How can we do this?
When changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes.
