Can't use background feature in zoom and teams

I'm really disappointed that I purchased 2 macbook air 2020 computers a couple of months ago and because they're i3 I can't use this super basic feature that every simple pc can do. Today, you can't really work without having this background feature, and if I would've known this before, I would've bought the i5. However, this is so crucial today, that I think apple should bear responsibility and inform people before they buy this. Now I'm stuck with two expensive laptops that I literally can't really use because they don't work with this dumb feature.

Let us upgrade, at least!!

Apple does not know how you intend to use a computer. It is up to the user to make sure the computer is suitable and compatible with any software they want to use. You can still use those apps without the background feature as I do it all the time. You just need to make sure to use the computer in a location you don't mind having others see. Yes the background feature is nice, but it isn't required for using those apps. You can always provide Apple feedback here:
