My apple watch 4 has an apple logo that appears and disappears, trying to restart does nothing

I have the same problem with my series 4 cel & GPS model but it also suddenly gets very hot and burns through all the battery power till it hits 10% then cycles through from the big red circle charge symbol to regular face to apple logo on the charger.

I can't use it and it is just over 1 year by 50 or so days, so off factory warranty. Is this typical of apple watches, if so i am getting something else... Frustrated! Yes i tried factory resetting the software to as new but not helping.

It goes through a loop sequence over and over again. I believe this is a defective product that worked great then suddenly not at all. Most of the time I can't access the watch controls

Any ideas how to fix this?
