How do I enable cookies on my iMac?
How do I enable cookies? The only choice I have is to check or uncheck Block all Cookies but nothing to enable cookies. When I go to manage websites, there is nothing there. I'm using 10.15.7 on my iMac
I did uncheck Block all Cookies but it didn't work. Instead, I did this: go to Safari/Settings for Websites/PopUp windows menu--choices are Block and Notify, Block , Allow. It's not obvious but there is a drop down window on this menu to do this. It was set to Block so I changed it to Allow. Unfortunately, every time I go to this menu, it defaults back to Block and Notify.
I was informed by my banking website that it was an issue with cookies which is why I asked about this. However, when I did Allow pop ups, I was able to access a new feature on the banking website. Thanks for all your help!
Blocking popups has nothing to do with cookies.
Cookies are normally enabled in browsers unless you specifically disable them.
As I said, cookies are normally enabled unless you disable/"block" them. If "Block all Cookies" is unchecked, they are enabled.
You're welcome. Your bank was mistaken. 😎
Yes. The person I was dealing with said this is a cookie issue which they forwarded to their tech support. I gave her the above information re pop ups.
