Dropbox will not accept Logic ProjectInformation.plist file for online only backup
Everything else goes up to Dropbox but that file will not upload when I try to back up Logic projects.
Is this known?

This is why I use zip container for any exotic file format, including Logic related files.
Yes it works! So the thing to do is to zip Logic- and other noncooperative files and put them up as well.
If you have an answer for as to why I sometimes have to restart to make the sync work, I'll be glad.

iCloud has scrambled many a users projects, I imagine Dropbox would do
the same. Mac file system user files and applications need to be zipped
before being uploaded/synced.
Yes. Same issue with all consumer cloud storage. Logic projects use file attributes and dependancies that are not easily portable and do not survive to the synchronization process. Not specific to Logic and not new. Just typical interoperability chalenges between OSes and File Systems.
Simple office automation documents are usually self contained files. That's why they sync well with cloud storage. In fact, they are archives already. For example, take a Word document and replace the extension by ".zip". Then unarchive the document and see what's inside.

Synced could storage doesn't work well with complex files like Logic projects. Don't use them.

Thanks for the illumination folks. I was just about to zip a logic project to see if it works that way when I encountered another puzzling anomaly. It has happened a few times, when I go to the files in finder,
bechethe syncing options are not there and the cloud- and ok-symbols are gone. When this happened before I restarted the computer and all was back to normal. So I will do that again now. But why?

Really? That sounds very dissapointing. Is there by any chance a second opinion?
Best

"Is there by any chance a second opinion?".
Hmmm. The users who reported problems in this forum maybe?

Could have sworn I posted in this topic

Right! This is what I implied. Thanks to underline it.
