iPhone popup "Do you want to download "ids"?

Hello,

Just recently, I started having these random pop-ups appear, asking the question "Do you want to download 'ids'?" I haven't tried downloading anything else, and I am not quite sure why this would start popping up so suddenly (The first one appeared at 21:00 PCT). I haven't clicked download since I don't know what it is, nor can I really find any information about the pop-up. Any advice on how to deal with this or information on what these pop-ups are would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards,

Look under "General" in Settings (near the bottom) and see if you have a profile called "Tweak Box". If you do, remove it. That is what was causing the identical pop-up on my iPad. I never installed it but somehow after doing the upgrade 14.0.1 yesterday it was in my settings.

Every second I have this IDS fly across my screen since installing the "update" which took 9 minutes. Then, it asked me if I wanted to download CATALINA? What was the first thing I just downloaded? Now I have another download?

I did the first one - and then every time I hold my mouse on a picture, hyperlink or basically anything - literally 100 IDS are flying into what appear to be download mode?

I have no idea but we need this FIXED. I do not want my computer to think I am downloading anything on the internet that I am merely looking at or that, as we know, is forced on us based on history, looks, purchases, etc. Worse, if it comes on my screen that I do not want, like popups, illegal downloads that we all close out, etc. - BOOM, another IDS sent over.

This is dangerous. FIX NOW!

Hi, I live in western Canada and I have been getting this annoying popup as well every time I access the internet on Safari on my iPhone XR. Some actual help with this issue on this forum for us from Apple would be helpful to let us know if our devices have been hacked, to know how serious an issue this is, and how to stop it from reoccurring!

i’ve cleared my history, data, and rebooted my phone several times and nothing makes a difference. Apple, HELP!!

It’s kind of insane how something like this JUST started and immediately I am thankful so many people have reached out and are having the same problem. I suppose it sounds like it’s not happening on Chrome as much? I have a lot of tabs saved on Safari but if needed I would switch over to only using Chrome. Recently I accidentally clicked on a pop up from a website and had a horrible sex advertisement get locked into my calendar!! I had to call Apple and the person graciously walked me through getting it off my calendar. It’s interesting to think we all said Apple never gets viruses... well it’s here now 😅 Hoping this problem could be resolved soon!
