Banners or Alerts in notifications centre Linked to web threat ! How to get rid of it ?

Hello Apple Community,

First af all, I am french and I didn't wrote in english since a longtime so I hope I will be clear and will do my best to be as clear as possible.

My issue is the following :

A new banner popped up in my screen since today. It is not a fake banner from internet but the one you can choose to allow are not from the notifications centre.

This banner alert myself about many different fake subjects :

  • a virus attack and invited me to re-install the virus protection ( that i don't have, of course)
  • Some message as "is that you that downloading that files ? (clic to show)"
  • etc...

And if I click on it, it's linked to a website call "ismilinstite.com" which is directly recognize as a threat by avast ( because I just installed avast today due to this issue and to see what Avast will do )

And also, I can switch off the banners as it is a normal one !!

I don't know where it came from, what is the application related to that ( because it is inside the notification centre )

So, is there somebody who know what it is and how I can get rid of it !!

I hope i am understandable ;)

All the best

Jim

Bonjour,

Voila, Problem solved

I wonder how it got there in the first place?

You agreed to it by allowing a website to send Safari Notifications. Your automatic, instinctual reaction to such a solicitation ought to be "just say no."

You can fix it by deleting that website's entry in Safari's Notifications. Refer to Customize website notifications in Safari on Mac - Apple Support.

The The Built in Security  is all that is required to protect the computer.

There is Adware & Malware which will affect the computer and is generally downloaded from “ Shady “ Websites or Developers who Inject this software into the download.

Should “ Certain & Specific Software “ referenced from above be installed - it will negatively impact macOS. It is suggested, download directly from the Developer , the application Malwarebytes for Mac

It is free or paid for added features.

Run the Application and it should remove the malware / adware. Once done, restart computer and test.

Hello,

Actually, as I explained in french just upper, I went to an apple store to solve this problem. With them, we tried Malwarebytes for that specific problem and Malwarebytes was useless because it didn't find any thing because

actually, it is not an Adware or Malware software.

It is a permission to display a banners who look seem to be done without the administrator permission. Then, this banners is just recognize by any security software ( avast, malwarebytes,etc...) as a common banner. And it is only if you click on it, that this banner lead you to a malicious website.

So, the OP is to desactivate the permission and erase the permission of this banners directly in safari permissions.

I have installed Malwarebytes and it finds nothing. Since I only get the notification when I open Safari, I assume that turning off the notification takes care of it. I also found nothing in the system, processes and program

This is why you need to start your own question. You don’t speak French, so you didn’t apply the correct solution.
