IPhone Battery Drain Issue - First Notes, now Flashlight

I'm having the same issue with Notes Widget. I've removed all my widgets and it says my battery usage in the last 24 hours the Notes Widget used 91%. What the heck is happening. I've noticed my battery drains alot faster.

Which iPhone model, and exact iOS 14 version are you using? Settings > General > About.

iOS 14.0.1 was recently released, so if you haven’t updated to that, let’s do so now.

I too am having this battery drain with Notes widget using 60% battery when not being used - what is the fix? I have an Iphone Xs and it is also getting extremely hot. Lots of issues with this one, camera constantly going black and more.

Has anyone found a way to fix this problem? Since updating my software to iOS 14.1, Notes are draining the battery so that it lasts less than 5 hours. Today, I've turned off background app refresh for Notes and deleted all of the widgets. I then charged my phone to 100% but the battery's drained already and it says the usage is 79% Notes widget and background activity. I've got an iPhone 8.

I have the same problem I used notes for 1 minute but battery usage showed 42% for notes widget yet I have never even created a widget, having to charge 3 times a day full charge and the phone is HOT very annoying as didnt have this issue before updates, running latest IOS always and on iphone X

Thank you! I should probably have just tried restarting! I spoke to Apple support who ran through the recommendations above which I'd already followed, so as a last resort, suggested that I could back my phone up before restoring it which seems to have worked, thank goodness!

Same thing happening to me that’s what brought me here. My 11 pro max is less than a year old. Have never had to charge the battery throughout the day, it lasts until bed. Since this update I barely get a couple hours out of it, I’m charging it 4-5 times a day. Looked at my battery usage and Notes is using 75% wtf?! This is insane and extremely frustrating. My phone is also overheating.

Hi Pipihalpert, have you done the latest update then done the turn on background app refresh but turned it off for notes (I posted that it did fix it for me, yes my phone was super hot too with that speed of drain on the battery) good luck hope it works for you too.

I turned background app refresh back on but turned it off for notes an restarted device and now seems all ok, hope it helps someone else.

I upgraded to 14.2 and the issue has been resolved. Went from notes taking 76% of battery to 0%.
