My aipods won't connect with my acer laptop

I have recently purchased airpods and can connect them to my iphone, even though it takes a little while.

I sometimes can connect to my chromebook, but have difficulty with this.

My main laptop at home is an acer laptop, which will not allow connection of bluetooth.

Please can you help?
