27" iMac from 2010
Can the hard drive in a 27" iMac from 2010 be used for storage while the iMac is being used solely as a monitor for another computer?

I use a 2010 27” iMac in Target Display Mode 8 hours a day. In my experience you can use it as an external monitor or as a computer, but not both at the same time. I never see the internal drive or any external drives connected to the 2010 iMac in Target Display Mode.
