correct, just like the iPhone 6/6 Plus was not compatible with iOS 13.. it is not compatible with iOS 14. 12.4.8 is the latest for you

Your iPhone 6 can only be updated as far as iOS version 12.4.8.

A newer iPhone is required to update to iOS version(s) 13/14.
