I have rainbow lines on the top third or my screen on MacBook Air. How do I get rid of them? Thank you.

That is a sign of a failing display, or the connecting cable or the Logic Board. Take a screen shot of the display and if the rainbow lines show up in the screen shot then it is the Logic Board/Cable and if they do not then it is the failing display. I recommend that you have your MacBook Air examined at the Apple Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Center.
