iOS 14 no longer have ANY sounds

***?

After years of loving Apple, I now upgraded to ios14 and I no longer have ANY sounds (text, keyboard clicks etc..) while on the phone with my airpods.

What a stupid upgrade. Please fix this very soon, or I will be forced to toss my iphone and switch over to an Android phone.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT UPGRADED TO IOS14...DO NOT!!

Hi Dr. Detroit 8560.

If this were an issue with the latest update, we would see multiple reports of it in these threads. As that is not the case, it would point to this most likely being an issue with the installation of iOS on your device.

As you're already running the most up-to-date version of iOS, you may need to consider reinstalling iOS on your device. While this shouldn’t affect any data stored on the iPhone, it would be a good idea to make sure you’ve got a backup in place:

Once you’ve successfully backed up your device, follow these steps to reinstall iOS, making sure to choose “Update” when prompted:

Actually, after speaking several "high level" Apple Care advisors...the consensus is that THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH IOS 14.0.1 and the loss of sounds when speaking on the phone. Along with many other issues, Apple's engineers are (supposedly) working on the problem and will include a fix in the next update.

I suppose we will see. After being an Apple user since the first "Macbook" I would hate to have to leave the iPhone behind for and Android. I'm sure I will be simply swapping one set of problems for another. However, to NOT receive texts or any other notifications while being on the phone is truly unacceptable.

OK, so I have tried everything that I can think of and everything your "senior advisors" have asked of me. NOTHING! The upgrade to ios 14.0.1 has totally wiped out all sounds WHEN I USE ANY HEADSET INCLUDING AIRPODS.

I have been an apple user for years and I know how to check sound settings. Please just pass on to your engineers so they may fix the problem and send out a new update.
