toolbar add-ons

I need to do this assignment and I can't access because I need to disable active toolbar add-ons and I don't know how to do that.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

It sounds like you're needing some help with Safari on your MacBook. We will be happy to help.


We want to check two areas with you to see if we can get this working.


  1. First, Open the Safari app on the Mac if you have not done so already
  2. Pull down the “Safari” menu and choose “Preferences”
  3. Go to the “Security” tab
  4. Uncheck the box next to “Internet plug-ins” so that ‘Allow Plug-ins’ is unchecked and turned off
  5. Exit Preferences and test to see if that helps.
