My screen is stuck on the black screen with the white apple logo and won't restart when I hold down the power button. . What do I do?

If the device is stuck on the Apple logo, you'd have to put it in recovery mode and update and/or restore the device. Here's how: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201412
