ON the CD import screen (when I try to import music into my itunes library from a CD) the album cover does not (ever) import to this screen. (The square to the left of the CD name). And when I do import music into itunes library, sometimes the album cover DOES get imported and sometimes it DOES NOT get imported. Even when importing from the same CD.

Audio CDs don't contain artwork. Once you've imported the album you can right-click on it and use the Get Album Artwork option. If that fails locate the artwork with a Google image search, copy it, and paste it into the Album Info dialog box.
