Episode description formatting issue

Hi everyone!

I'm a podcast producer and I use both Libsyn and Podbean to post new episodes. The problem is, when I look at the episode on Apple Podcasts, the formatting of the description gets screwed up. For example, in the attached images, the takeaways in podbean are spaced out, but on Apple they're smushed together.

On Podbean:

On Apple Podcasts:

Another example from Libsyn, the summary is evenly spaced out in Libsyn but isn't showing up the same way in Apple. It almost seems randomly spaced out:

On Libsyn:

On Apple:

I'd really appreciate any input you have, thank you so much for your help!!

You are writing your descriptions in html with copious use of coding such as <br><br> and <p></p>. Not so long ago iTunes would have displayed all your coding; now it's doing some minimal rendering but it's obviously not accepting more than one blank line, and it's not capable of showing bold face or any other of the formatting options such as font-weight or iframes.

Really it's advisable to write descriptions in plain text, using returns for new paragraphs. It will show a blank line between paragraphs by entering two returns, but I would guess it will not show extra line spaces - I wouldn't recommend double line spaces anyway, it's not really a suitable medium for them.
