Overheating 11 pro

This is the 3rd phone (1-iphone 6, 2-11pro) that has had an overheating issue. To the point of burn marks on my phone cases, but no warning from the phone.

This happens if I use realtor.com’s app and if I use my camera (even without the live option) for an extended time like when I’m at the zoo or gardens. With each phone, I have noticed that I can’t load Facebook (app) properly after it has overheated. Photos and Facebook, aside from the phone itself is the reason I bought the pro.

The current phone I have is a replacement from apple, which could be a refurbished phone, I don’t know. I’d really rather not spend hours and hours on the phone again for them to tell me it’s fine and they have no answers, but if I want a replacement I’ll need to pay the $30 shipping. Not to mention, after the one year mark, “it’s not their problem”.

Is this a known problem, that’s going to continue to happen?
