Macbook Pro Finder window not fully opening for iPhone backup etc.

I can connect and TRUST the iPhone to my MacBook Pro, however the window does not contain all the options:

It sort of "just works.

I have run out of ideas to get a backup happening.

Any thoughts or how to get this working?

Can you open it with iMazing trial? Would help to narrow down to iOS or Finder issues.

Also I would try to reset pairing (one more time for verification if done already). If it will be recognized in iMazing, right-click on the phone in sidebar and click Forget (without removing backups if asked, this should help to avoid resetting full location&privacy from the phone). Then restart both Mac and phone and re-pair it with Finder. Any luck?

Edit: It's not the incomplete loading page imo. More like Finder assumes that this phone is in recovery mode.

Thanks Carl,

I have tried the various reset and restart options you suggest.

I do own an App called AnyTrans that is a similar to iMazing.

AnyTrans works as advertised and will allow for backups, files options and printing etc.

It is just the Finder and iPhone not quite doing what they are advertised to do.

As mentioned, my iPad operated with the Finder as it should.

So far I'm pointing the finger at the iPhone as the culprit.

I do have a newer OS beta at hand, and will try that.

I suspect this issue is related to the OS CAT 10.15.7 & IOS 10.0.1 being out of step.

Will report back if I SORT THE ISSUE.
