Simple Timer App for Catalina

I'd like a very simple timer app to use on my iMac. I'd like it to be just like the timer I use in the kitchen -- set it for a certain number of minutes and/or hours and when that time passes a message with a sound comes up on screen. My Mac is upstairs. The timer on my stove isn't loud enough. I just want to be able to put the timer on when I put water in a kettle to make tea or have something baking in the oven I need to remove after some length of time. I did find AS Timer on the internet but can't tell from the description if it does the job and is good & safe.
