How to do that, where is recent android mobile you choose either 2.4 GHz/5 GHz when setting up the personal hotspot where as in iPhone we don't have that provision
More over in real world 5 GHz WiFi band is faster than 2.4 GHz WiFi band that's the reason now a days routers are coming up with both the band and mobile phones are also compatible with both of the bands

The 5 GHz band is faster between your devices and the hotspot in your phone, but the limiting factor is the cellular network speed, which at its best is still far below the speed of a 2.4 GHz connection. So there is no advantage to connecting to the hotspot at 5 GHz, and two disadvantages: It gobbles energy much faster, and it has a much shorter range than 2.4 GHz.
Thanks for the information Finch
With the same cellular connection earlier i got 5 GHz personal hotspot but i am not getting now, as you said it depends on cellular network speed as well. Just wanted to know is this because of newer iOS update or because of cellular network
The speed limitation is the cellular network. If you could connect at 5 GHz in the past you should still be able to, however, there is no advantage to doing that because the bottleneck is the cellular network.
Nothing wrong with that. It's just as fast.
No 5GHz is faster
Not in the real world.
Then switch to the 5GHz band.
Yeah understand that, why there is change a now. Just wanted know that it is because of iOS update or something else and anybody else also observes the same
