Migrate applications and documents from a MacBook Pro to new MacBook Air

old and new are open, plugged in, and stating that info is migrating. But it’s been over 24 hours with no change. Is anything happening? How to double-check progress?

Force the new Mac to shut down and determine if the migration was successful.

Refer to How to move your content to a new Mac - Apple Support.

It's been my experience that when Migration Assistant gets stuck, it's often in "Other files and folders" or "Computer & Network Settings" so if restarting the Mac results in an incomplete migration you might want to try again and de-select those choices.

Or, the migration might be perfectly fine. You won't know until you restart the Mac, and 24 hours is long enough.
