Update email password

When trying to update my e-mail password in iPhone settings, I get the message that the e-mail address is invalid. E-mail address did noty change and that account was working properly before password has changed.

Don't try to change the password in an account in the phone.

Instead:

  • Change the email account password in a browser, preferably a laptop.
  • In the iphone delete the email account in Settings, Mail (iOS14)
  • Add the account back using the new password


This does not apply to Icloud email account)
