Logic Pro not able to complete download...Try connecting to Internet??

Well, I am definitely connected to the Internet....and parts of the download started, then stopped and I got the error message. I pressed the refresh button to try and resume the download, and a little bit more would download...however it seems to have come to a stop and I can't finish the download. This since the most recent Catalina update....sigh!!!

I have the same problem, 2 different computers, tried different DNS, VPN, different locations. Sometimes it fails immediately, others it downloads a bit and then fails. Once I was able to download 1GB but then it kept failing and can't resume. Sometimes it resumes a bit.

Possibilities:

  1. Issue with their CDN or, more probably
  2. Library update (I saw an item I hadn't seen before, Keyboard in the new sound packs) - perhaps to go with an unreleased update of Logic.

I had the same problem and this is how I got it going:

  1. Disconnect WI-FI and connect via ETHERNET.
  2. Remove external AUDIO connections (Scarlet, Duet etc) and choose NONE in Audio Input/Outputs in Logic.
  3. Quit Logic Pro X and DO NOT CONTINUE DOWNLOAD.
  4. VERY IMPORTANT: Restart Logic Pro X BUT, when the pop up asks you to continue download, CLICK CANCEL. This will cancel all failed downloads. I had several going and I suspect they were messing up the download.
  5. Go to Preferences and Re-Download Sounds.
  6. To See the progress, quit Logic Pro X but choose, CONTINUE DOWNLOAD.
