Why is Apple Music so Un Friendly and Hard to Use Now Unless you Pay?

So I just wanted to buy a song, I DON'T want to subscribe to a very expensive monthly service. I found it it impossible to do now. I went Apple in 2007 since it just worked. Now it doesn't You already deleted all my playlists.

If I were cynical, I'd think that Apple is now of the mindset of all the rest of the money-grubbing corporate shills. I'd like to think not, but if the practices fit the model.........
