Adobe End of Life - what's the alternative?
Can someone advise me on how I can use an app apparently requiring Adobe Flash since my IOS 14 update? Thanks in advance.
MacBook Pro 15”, macOS 10.15

There was never any support for Flash in any version of iOS.
Flash is not the only way to play online games, and support for it has been dwindling for years. I am sure that there are online online bridge games that don’t need Flash.
You won’t miss anything. Flash is being killed for everyone, every operating system, every browser, not just Apple. Adobe says they will begin blocking Flash media from playing after 1/1/2021. The world bridge community will have to find a new way. Developers were given THREE YEARS notice by Adobe that this was coming and now it’s here. Those apps and websites that sill rely on Flash will fade away unless they update to modern methods.
Not on my iPhone and I don't have an iPad - on my MacBook Pro, Catalina, IOS 14. Bridge Base Online would just open until today when it won't. Now, it just takes me to the "Adobe Flash End of Life" page. I think BBO will have to update their delivery of the app? Safari is what I use - maybe change to Firefox?
They don't use Flash at the site except for older versions.
Flash is being discontinued by its authors and developers. 2021 it is gone.
No Apple app has required it since Steve Jobs abandoned it.
Well, darn, but thank you for confirming what I read about. I will miss playing online bridge with the world community. :(
.
Can you elaborate on how you used Flash? Did access that site via a web browser on your iPhone or iPad? Which browser?
Click the link I posted. They don't use Flash unless you ask for that page.
iOS 14 is the OS on the iPhone. Catalina is macOS 10.15.
However, just as QuickTimeKirk wrote, the site works fine.
Hmmmm, this looks real different, I'll have to get used to it. Thanks for researching for me.
Yes, of course you are right.
I'm macOS 10.15.7 and Safari version 14.
