Latest adobe flash on iPad Pro with iOS version 13.2??

Opened Xfinity Stream this morning and I got a splash page telling me to update my adobe flash software. I didn’t know adobe was on iPad pro’s. Should I install? I don’t see iOS listed. I see Microsoft versions, Linux, Firefox and others.

if I don’t need flash, how do I get the splash page to stop coming up? Thanks

The likely reason for seeing unexpected prompts to install Flash, following update to iPadOS, is the new default “Request Desktop” version of websites. Prior versions of iOS defaulted to requesting and rendering the “Mobile” version.

What’s different is that the iPad, when requesting the “Desktop” site - declares its OS/browser as being Mac/Safari - which, when Flash isn’t detected, often triggers a prompt from the website to install the plugin - which, as we all know, is not something that iPadOS/iOS can support.

And there you have it. If you change your iPad Safari browser setting to “Request Mobile Website”, the iPad resumes its true identity - and no prompts will be served.

Hope this clarifies the what and why.
