Nike run club on Apple watch and always on display

I have a series 6 Apple watch (Nike version) and the always on display does not work properly for the Nike run club app. When you lower your wrist a digital clock covers the run metrics, this functionality is pointless and does not happen for the Apple workout app (the Apple workout app keeps the run metrics always on).

Can this be please fixed as Apple promotes, very heavily, their deep integration with Nike and should support the always on display for the Nike run club app as it is basic functionality.
