Wrecked my bike, watch did not detect fall

I've had a fall detected when I really did fall trying to put a kayak in the water, but yesterday when I fell quite hard off my bike, nothing. Is recalibrating recommended or anything?

Hey there ijustwanttofixsomethingdontmak,

We'd like to help any way we can. We understand that the fall was detected when trying to put your kayak in water, but when falling off your bike it didn't detect the fall. We wanted to point out a section in Use fall detection with Apple Watch

'Apple Watch cannot detect all falls. The more physically active you are, the more likely you are to trigger fall detection due to high-impact activity that can appear to be a fall.'

That being said, we recommend a few things at this time:

  1. Restarting your iPhone and Restarting your Apple Watch
  2. Making sure both are up to date: Update iPhone and Update Apple Watch

Have a good one!
