I agree that Catalina installs too many fonts for me, and especially I don't need those foreign fonts. However, they are installed as part of Catalina and can not be removed as everything in the Macintosh HD is now read only. There is one way to get around this. If you can start up from an external drive, then it is possible to access your computer's Fonts folder and remove them by placing them into the trash and emptying it. However, if you do this you need to know what you are doing. Some of the fonts are necessary for various system functions and displays. If one of them is removed, you will create serious problems. I only removed the foreign fonts and left the english ones alone.
