My sister purchased an App Store and iTunes card in error. She meant to buy an Apple Gift Card in the amount of $100. I was told I couldn't exchange the iTunes and App Store card for a store gift card. I don't understand why not.

If a gift card is purchased in error, one would assume it could be exchanged at an Apple Store for the correct card. I was told I couldn't exchange the App/iTunes card for a store gift card. It doesn't seem that represents the level of service I am accustomed to having with Apple. I don't use any of the options available on an App/iTune card but would use the store gift card towards the purchase of a new laptop this Christmas.

I believe that the information you received may not be the "whole truth."

As I interpret the information, presented, all you have to do is to "Redeem" the "App Store and iTunes" card to your account, and the funds will be available to "buy Apple products,..."
