App Store & OITunes Gift Card
I recently purchased the new IPhone 12 Pro Max. I then purchased an App Store & ITunes gift card for $50. I applied the gift card for $50. My balance appears as $50. I tried to purchase an album for $11.99. The screen accepted my response then requested a method of payment. My Apple ID card showed up with a Vance of $50. However it would not allow me to use it. I received no response each time I tried to select my Apple ID card to pay for this purchase. I paid for this gift card in cash over two weeks ago. I saved all the receipts and gift card. I tried to apply it again and received a message that the card was already applied.
Why is ITunes not accepting my purchase? I paid for the gift card. The money is there and currently in the hands of Apple.
So why is this not working? It worked just fine with all my other IPhones over the past 13 years.
Should I take the gift card back to the store where I purchased it and request a cash refund?
Something is very wrong with this very aggravating situation. To be blunt: It does not appear to be properly designed at all. I have work in IT for 42 years - 22 years as a Senior Programmer Analyst.
I did research this issue on the Internet and Apple’s Support site and found no resolution.
This looks like a computer BUG that just cost me $50.
Still hoping this error gets fixed.
