I have the MacBook Air 2019, and I'm planning on getting a Canon m50 camera and I want to know how to transfer photos and videos to my computer?
Anyone have any suggestions or a trick?

There's no trick. It's easy.
Option one: take the camera card from the camera and insert it in a card reader. It then shows up on the desktop.
Option Two: use the USB connection on the camera and Image Capture (in the Applications Folder)

what usb connection would I use? Apple only put the earphone jack on one side and charger on one side
I think you'll find the charging port is a USB C connection.
