How do I delete GarageBand files?

I don't have much space left and Garage Band is using 2.57 GB. I have already deleted the app and done the thing where you go through Library in Finder, then Application Support but nothing related to Garage Band showed up. I cannot find anything related to Garage Band to delete other than the fact that it is using up space. I need to know how to delete these mystery files, please help.

Hey dimsum_3,

It sounds like you'd like to free up space on your computer by deleting files linked to GarageBand. To do this, you'll want to visit a few locations.

In the folder /Library/Application Support/GarageBand review the files linked to any instruments or lessons saved. Copy/paste "/Library/Application Support/GarageBand" into the text field of "Finder > Go > Goto Folder" menu.

You may also have some GarageBand items installed in the corresponding location in your user Library. Use Finder > Go menu to open both "~/Library/Application Support/GarageBand" and "~/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/"

Lastly check your home folder for ~/Music/GarageBand/ where it may show installed GarageBand items. Contact Apple Support if any issues remain.

Have a great week!
