ios 14.0.1 rejecting certificate for mail server.

Since updating to iOS 14.0.1 one of my mail accounts can't check e-mail.

iOS is popping up the "not trusted" message. When I select "details" there is no button to "trust" the certificate like there used to be. The issue is probably a "name mismatch" because that is what shows up under MacOS. I can fix it there, but not in iOS.

There doesn't appear to be a way to manually trust a certificate. HELP!

Verifying a updated mail certificate on iPhone/iPad I recently signed a self signed certificate that was about to expire on my High Sierra server. Now I am unable to connect on my iDevices while I can on my Macs When retrieving mail from my Mac I was able to accept that certificate and use it for sending and receiving mail. On the iDevices, I get a pop up saying "cannot verify server identity." I was able to view the details of the certificate yet, unlike on the Mac, I am not able to accept it. I have tried deleting the account and when I go to create it again, I get a message first that it cannot connect using SSL and then when it tries to set it up without SSL it claims "No password provided for [server_name] and that should go to mail account settings to enter a password, but I did with Settings>Accounts>Add Accounts>Other>Add account. (Again this is a personal High Sierra Mail Server). Once again, the Macs can connect just fine. I have been able to do this in past when I have updated the self-signed certificate. I am not sure why it is not working this time. I have tried using mail.[server}.com and have tried using the IP address. The response I first get is cannot connectives SSL and when I try and connect without, I get a message that it cannot connect to mail server. The account settings were entered exactly as they appear in the Mail App on the Mac under Mail>Preferences>Accounts How do I fix this?

iOS Mail S/MIME cert installed and trusted but “No valid certificates found” Seems like I have similar problem as described in iOS Mail S/MIME cert installed and truste… - Apple Community. Thread is closed (due to no activity) so I'm starting new one. I've just purchased S/MIME certificate. It took me < 5 minutes from purchasing it to having Mail working properly in macOS (signing + encrypting). I spend next 5 hours trying to make it work in iOS. I exported certificate from Keychain Access to p12 file, installed it in iOS (along with intermediate certificate). In General->VPN & Device Management certificate is "green" (Verified), but in Me->iCloud->iCloud Mail -> iCloud Email Settings -> Advanced -> Sign/Encrypt certificate is "red" (Not Verified). Mail app shows e-mail sent from macOS as signed and encrypts it properly, but when trying to send e-mail, popup message shows "Unable to encrypt" and sends me to Settings, even though certificate _is_ selected (with checkmark) in Advanced Mail settings. I managed to configure S/MIME in iOS many times in the past when using previous major versions of iOS. It's just me (or certificate provider) or is it a bug in 16.x version? It works properly in macOS, so it should in iOS as well?

“can’t verify server certificate” Will deleting outlook prevent the repeated message “can’t verify server certificate”? And would deleting it cause problems with my other email accounts, some of which are msn?
