Apple TV issue

Greetings. I’ve run into something unusual. I have a 4th gen box connected to a Samsung smart TV. It has been updated to the latest tvOS 14 version. A couple of days ago when I turned them on, via HDMI-CEC, the cursor automatically pulled to the right of the Home Screen. As I tried to navigate back to the apps on the left side, it always forced the cursor right continually making the beeping noise as if I was actively moving from app to app. If I go into any app the behavior is the same. If I hold down the tv button long enough to bring the shutdown menu up, the cursor becomes controllable again, sometimes for the duration of my viewing and other times temporarily. I’ve also noticed that the Samsung overlay that would come on at startup displaying the input no longer clears either. It just stays displayed until I use the Samsung remote to clear them. These two things started occurring at the same time so I think it is more than coincidental. Any suggestions on fixing?
