Whatsapp backup

My whatsApp is not backing up since April last year, it tells me i need to free up space but i have iCloud storage. I dont know how to make it do the backup on the iCloud storage and not the iPhone storage

You’ll need to cull your iCloud storage — Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support.
