Activating external switch

Prior to updating the ipad I use at work to iOS 14 the external switch that I am using worked perfectly fine, we have a USB-c to USB adapter in addition to a tapio switch in order to connect the button to the ipad, now when I connect the switch and turn on switch control it does not seem like the switch is connected or responding. I have tried adding a new switch but I can not get any further than the "Activate your external switch" screen. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi there, Amy,

We certainly understand how important it is that you're able to connect your Tapio Switch to your iPad. We want do all we can to help you.

Do you have access to an alternate USB-C to USB adapter we can use to connect your switch to your iPad? If not, do you have access to another iOS device to connect your Tapio Switch to?

Do you still experience the same behavior after you restart your iPad?

Cheers!

Hello, I also have the same problem, Tapio conected to lightning port not working after update to ios14. Two weeks ago everything was working on ios13. I tested on ipad air 2 and iphone SE and the same result - device is not recognized as external switch. I connected via usb to Macbook as mouse mode and everything is working, so Tapio interface is not corrupted. I think it is ios14 problem with eternal switches connected via cable...
