No wave-form, but there is audio there

GB 10.3.5

On one of my recordings, there is a region, and a part of another region, that has no wave-form (just a flat line). But the audio (it's a voice track) IS THERE. And it sounds great.

I want to do an edit it one of these sections, but that's virtually impossible without the wave-form.

Perhaps I should mention that these regions have other takes "behind" them. Each has three additional takes which I'm currently not using, but which I don't want to get rid of.

Any suggestions?

Hello there, deanfromraymond!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you're having an issue with no waveform, but the audio is there in a recording. Let's start by checking out this article for GarageBand for Mac: Audio Editor overview to be sure you're using the Audio Editor to make the changes to the recording.

You also mention there being three additional takes that you're not using and want to keep. Try dragging each take to its own track and see if that resolves the issue with the waveform not showing.

Let us know the results and have a great day!
