what's going with Catalina its making certain apps not working or not on App Store anymore and nothing to replace them
As for other apps: If your favourite or preferred app is not working after Catalina was released a year ago then that's down to the makers of the application. It's up to them to keep it up-to-date.
Then contact the makers of the app. Mind you, if they haven't updated it in a year that might nee its own story.

Facebook has not created an App for the Mac. Like every other computer in the world, Facebook is accessed via a web browser.
