Apple App Store does not list common apps

I just purchased a used MacBook Air running Mac OS Catalina version 10.15.7. The App Store does not list many commonly downloaded apps such as Yelp, LinkedIn, etc. Can someone explain why I am not seeing them?

There are no such apps for the MacBook. Just go to yelp, LinkedIn, etc. through Safari.
