Apple TV+ subscription and continuing watching shows on app

I have a year's subscription to Apple TV + and I just watched the first three eps of a show on my Apple TV in the last couple of days. I wanted to continue where I left off (about ep 4) on my MacBook but it's asking me to buy the episode. I can't see any "continue watching" section.

Shouldn't I be able to keep watching the show for free on my MacBook?
