How can I use my Apple TV at a hotel
Bought an Apple TV to use at a hotel. But won’t work with the hotels WiFi. What can I do?

if the hotel adds the appletv's MAC Address to their positive list then it will not need to login to the wifi using a website as many do, or if they let you connect it by wired ethernet rather than wifi

You could add a travel router (non-cellular) [e.g. this travel router] to the setup, to set up a mini-LAN for your devices, that then connects to the existing Wi-Fi network. Then the travel router has the captive network portal, but your devices connect to a new network with just a regular password. As a bonus, AirPlay options become available too.
(Many hotel Wi-Fi networks do not have the bandwidth to stream the amount of data that streaming TV requires, to many of their guests at the same time. YMMV.)
I would solve this with the Apple Airport Express (gen 1 or 2).
