After upgrading to iOS 14.0.1, my iPhone 11 Pro Max gets stuck on the app that was open when connecting to CarPlay. I cannot navigate in CarPlay. I can navigate on the iPhone but that defeats the purpose of CarPlay. Car is a MB S560, 2017

Being able to use CarPlay is very important, and you've come to a great place for help. There is a possibility that you may need to consult with your vehicles manufacturer, but before it leads there. Are you having issues with all applications, or only specific apps. Also, when adjusting have you tried the steps outlined in Use CarPlay with your iPhone?

When iOS updates are released there is a possibility that vehicle manufacturers release updates as well to ensure continued compatibility between the devices. The next step would be to reach out to the vehicles manufacturer for additional troubleshooting.

Have been using car play and this car for 3 years no problems. With the lsat iOS update, I can no longer navigate in car play using the car’s controls. The only change that occurred in the interval was the iOS update.
