As above. In previous versions of the software, there was a heading for Latest, and one for Library, which was all of your photos. Neither exist any more, or they're hidden? I don't need Places or People or an Album - I just want to see what I shot yesterday. And why, with software that if vaunted as being simple to use, do I have to ask for help to find something so simple?

Well that's odd.
Mine (10.15.6) looks like this. With the words Library and Photos swapped:
Oh - and recents seems to mean recently imported. Which since I've only recently started using photos, includes my entire library :-)
If you are talking about photos on your mac, then you select the "photos|" option, top left sidebar (which shows all your photos. Then if it is not already, scroll down to the very bottom and your most recent photos should be there.
