I need to merge a defunct iTunes account with my current account to use apps downloaded years ago on my new phone. The old account is locked and I can’t pass the security questions because I wrote the answers about 14 years ago. What do I do I’m desperate!

Not sure how much value those years-old apps will have at this point. But to gain access to the old account, go to appleid.apple.com and click on the "Forgot..." link, as shown below.
