Photos not displaying in iMessages

Hi everyone ,

I’ve been dealing with this issue for about 2 weeks now. I honestly say, since I updated to iOS 14.

when someone sends me a photo in iMessages , the photo no longer displays... instead there’s a big white square with the file name. When I click on it, then the photo appears.... I have screen shot it.

has anybody experience this and is there a fix?
