I got this iPhone 8 from my mum and she had the problem (well she told me) but didn’t take notice of it and now I have the problem, which I would of though it would of gone once the phone was wiped

Problem is, it’s only coming out of the reviver speaker and not one of the speaker on the bottom and I don’t know how to change it so it comes out of both or just the actual speaker

It may need a repair OR, if you go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio Visual and the balance slider is all the way to one side, adjust it to the middle and then see if you hear sounds from both speakers. If it is in the center, there is a hardware issue with the speaker.

That is normal. The iphone 8 has stereo speakers. One in the bottom of the phone and one in the earpiece. This allows you to get sound from both sides of your phone for things like video playback.

If you are saying playing music only comes out the ear speaker then it needs a repair.
Take to Apple Store or Contact Apple Support directly. Depending on your region, you may be able to reach them here: Get Support
Stereo on that phone comes from one bottom speaker and the earpiece.
All is correct.
The other "speaker" grille is not a speaker, its the microphone.
